As an experienced Senior Officer, he worked in several national and international single-service, joint and combined Headquarters in peacetime and during times of tension and war.

He was deployed overseas on five Operational Tours, has served on two postings outside of Canada, completed two foreign senior command and staff colleges in the United Kingdom and United States of America, and has led organizations at every level and rank. He also excelled in key staff/management positions at the tactical, operational and strategic level.

​In the key positions he filled during his 35 years of service and the last two as a consultant, he has had the opportunity to work with and lead a broad range of people and manage a variety of programs.

Gregory Burt is the President and Principal Consultant of Strategy Navigator Consulting. He is an accomplished leader with 35 years of progressive management experience within large, diverse organizations, most recently in senior and executive-level positions. Possesses in-depth experience in personnel and resource management, leading complex domestic and international initiatives. Breadth of knowledge as an experienced Superior Officer, working in several national / international single, joint, and combined environments, in peacetime and during times of tension and war. Over the last nine years served in senior positions requiring effective interpersonal and strategic skills in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including Government of Canada Central Agencies. He is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran (OMM, MSM, CD), fluent in English and French.
